You know it as the ultimate handheld gaming system—the place to play the very best in portable games. You may even know that the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system can do a bunch of other things as well. The thing is, once you've held all this in the palm of your hand, you won't ever be the same again.

    The PSP is jam packed with loads of features, including the ultimate hand-held games, the ability to watch movies, see and save photos and surf the web whenever, or wherever you want!  Some things to consider however, there are two different types or versions of PSP.  They are known as the 1000 and 2000 series; better known as Fat(1000) and the new Slim(2000) PSPs.  The Slim PSPs have more capabilities than the "fat" ones, but the fat ones don't break as easily.  Things to consider:  The 1000 series contain models 1000 and 1001, while the 2000 series contain the models 2000 and 2001.

   Upgrading your PSP with Firmware software is highly recomended for those of you who have just purchased your PSP.  Depending on the "Game" you choose to play, you may have to upgrade through the UMD(see PSP Gaming Page for more
