How to Remove scratches from a PSP Faceplate
Requirments:
• 1 can of Brasso or Silvo (Both work just fine, but I use Silvo due do how much I use it for everything else).
• 2 rags or other type of lintfree cloth.
• A few LCD cleaning wipe or alcohol wipes.Instructions:
There are two way of doing this, but since one voids the warranty, I won't go into detail on it. All you do is take the rag and put a few drops of polish on it. Then rub it in a circular motion in the clear area of the faceplate. Do this untill about half of the scratches aren't noticeable, then rub the other direction.
Once all the scratches aren't visible, wipe the polish off the PSP using the clean cloth. Be sure to wipe up, away from the buttons, or you'll have a dust problem with the dried polish getting inside the PSP. Once it's all cleaned up, allow the residue to dry and clean it up with an alcohol wipe.
Now your PSP is scratch free and all clean.
Constructing a PSP Pandora Battery {without custom firmware}
Requirments:
1) A sharp edged object, like a pocket knife. 2) A sodering gun, or iron. 3) An original SONY PSP Battery. 4) An extra PSP Battery (reccomended) 5) A fine tipped needle, or screw driver.Instructions:
1.0) Begin, by carefully running your knife (or whatever your sharply edjed object is decided on) along the edge of your Battery. 1.2) Be careful not to mess around with the top of the Battery. (the part where power is exchanged between the Battery and the PSP). 2.0) Remove the top of the Battery. 2.2) Take your sodering iron and find the "black chip"" -IC04-" to the bottom right corner of the opened Battery. (there are two significant 'black chips', one big, one smaller, this one is smaller). 2.9) Find the pin on the bottom right hand side of your opened Battery. 3.0) You must apply just enough pressure with your soddering iron to this pin, and lift it up {CAREFULLY}. 3.9) Once you have done this, you have officially made your Battery into a "PANDORA BATTERY". 4.0) Now you must format your memory Stick Pro Duo. 4.2) Use the PANDORA files you download here. 4.6) Open a command prompt. {RUN...cmd} 4.8) In CMD, type: CD.. , next line: CD.. , next line: CD pandora . 4.9) On the next line of CMD, type: CD mspformat , then on the next line type: mspformat X ('X' being my disk drive). Then click ENTER. 6.2) When the CMD asks you if you want to preform, type 'Y' and then click ENTER. 6.6) Close CMD, and Pandora File. Go to PSP Drive. 7.0) While PSP is in USB mode, take out the MEM. Stick. 7.2) Put the MEM. Stick back in and go into USB mode again. 7.3) Take the Pre-made Pandora Files and copy them to the MEM. Stick. 7.6) Close everything down, but KEEP USB mode enabled. 7.8) Take PANDORA GUI 1.5 File and install it. Then run it. 7.9) Go directly to Stage 4. Write the IPL. 8.0) When it is done, click OK. 8.9) Close it down, and EXIT USB mode. 9.0) Take MEM. Stick out. 9.2) Turn off the PSP. Unplug it. Insert the MEM. Stick. Put the Battery into the PSP. 9.9) When you turn on your PSP, you should see its program screen. Go on and do whatever from there. 10.0) You have officially converted your Battery into a PSP PANDORA BATTERY. Congratulations.*Note*: This info session only applies to PSP 1000 - 1001 series.
